SANTA MARIA ANTIQUA

The Domitian S. Maria Antiqua structure constitutes a connection between the Forum and the Palatino hills. It consists of a large room, some Hadrianic epoch tabernae, and another open square space entering into a four-sided portico room. Together these were probably a vestibule for the Imperial Palaces.
