ARCH OF SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS |
Erected at the feet of the Capitoline Hill (Campidoglio) in 203 A.D. and in dedication of the 10th anniversary of Septimius Severus' accession to the throne together with his son Caracalla. The monument has three connecting arches -the two facades are crowned with a high attic with 4 spaces accessed by a stairway in the left pillar. |
