TEMPLE OF SATURN

Initiated at the end of the king's epoch, the Temple was inaugurated between 498-497 B.C. It was entirely rebuilt in 42 B.C. with the Syrian spoils of war. An avant-corps was placed in front of the facade where the State's public treasure was kept.
