COLUMN OF FOCA

Last monument of the Roman Forum, the column was dedicated to Niceforo Foca in 608 A.D.-Byzantine emperor that gave the Pantheon to Pope Bonifacio IV. The column has antique origins (II century A.D.) and is fluted and surmounted by a Corinthian capital.
