LATRINES

A colonnade facing south-east gave access to a spacious latrine, the largest found in Rome so far. This was also probably constructed during work under Trajan in the Forum of Caesar. Sewers were inserted in a loose foundation with supensurae (small brick pillars) lying under the foundation.
