REGIA

Tradition attributed to Numa Pompilio and the probable residence of the Tarquini. It was used by Rex Sacrorum, Pontifex Maximus, and other priests in the republican period. It was destroyed by a fire in 64 B.C. and reconstructed by Domizio Calvo in 36 B.C.
